The Moments

Upon a porch made for two

We shall sip the coffee that did brew

The breeze shall be fresh

The vista serene

A canvas painted by God

Shall be the only screen

 

Upon these moments, these minutes, this day

No work shall pass, only lazy play

The eagles we shall watch

As they soar high in the air

Their call, like our friendship

A duo, a pair

 

The ocean’s waves will sing us a song

Of moments of bliss, where nothing is wrong

If we wish, upon the sand, our feet

Our thoughts unique and together in hand

Pondering those things we find sweet

In this place, this land

 

As the sun does set low in sea

Arm’s wrapped around and warm to be

I shall whisper a truth

 Softly to your ear

That forever and always

I shall hold you dear

a singular acknowledgement of a friend held close and dearly loved. aaron, i don't know that there is any greater [worldly] gift than that of a friend whose company you can share in complete comfort and artlessness. adding the profundity of nature's grandeur, this dang near approaches perfection on earth. ;)

This swept me away. Anyone that reads this can tap into a thought or memory that once took them to these places. Funny, the first time I read this an Eagle flew over. Sometimes our energies bring up old thoughts and bring them to a place to be seen again, felt again, and to let us know that it's not just that .. a memory. But instead something that can be felt again.. everyday in new moments..new friends..and treasures unexpected..xo

Okay..now that one made my eyes moist and bright..blinking rapid..tears trickle down my cheeks..that was sooo beautiful that I really ... just...can't breathe .. I felt as though I was in that very moment on the sand... walking together with my loved one hand in hand...a peace settling burrowed deeply inside...reminding me to feel forever free and alive...never to worry that I am not loved or held dear...just to listen to the words whispered softly in my ear.. :)
