The Dark WindA Poem by WolfwindA stray from my norm. The wind blows The sand crackles in the gusts of a storm The grottos small and canyons large Safe, no more. Life shall walk no further Lightning shall terrify The thunder bringing death’s breath A plague with no cure No one shall endure.
A dream’s decadence conjectured Must be sure… Survival depends on it
Swiftly, deadly Frost, dark and dire The packs moves quickly Closing in, shadows swarm Reapers of the living
The crypts you have opened Creatures from the depths are rising Coming and clawing The candles will gutter They shall feed well Life to devour
A nightmare’s cadence now understood Time’s minutes run to nothing Hands of the clock shatter Eternity is thine Hell being its rhyme
Upon this night You won’t win. © 2012 WolfwindFeatured Review
