The Dark Wind

The Dark Wind

A Poem by Wolfwind
"

A stray from my norm.

"

The wind blows

The sand crackles in the gusts of a storm

The grottos small and canyons large

Safe, no more.

Life shall walk no further

Lightning shall terrify

The thunder bringing death’s breath

A plague with no cure

No one shall endure.

A dream’s decadence conjectured

Must be sure…

Survival depends on it

Swiftly, deadly

Frost, dark and dire

The packs moves quickly

Closing in, shadows swarm

Reapers of the living

The crypts you have opened

Creatures from the depths are rising

 Coming and clawing

The candles will gutter

They shall feed well

Life to devour

A nightmare’s cadence now understood

Time’s minutes run to nothing

Hands of the clock shatter

Eternity is thine

Hell being its rhyme

Upon this night

 You won’t win.

Why do I feel as though I should be peeking through my fingers as they hide my eyes?? The time has run out upon this particular fruitful scene. As they move in.. they not being human or animal...but other. Crypts and creatures rising...nope not human or animal...The hunger that your words envoke is staggering...almost a plea from deep within...past all reasoning..driving powerful needing hunger... WOW!! I still can't look..definately different take on the nocturnal dwellings of creatures in places we would be better off not knowing about... (that crossed the eyes ;)

The picture in my mind as I read played out like and epic scary movie.. A city once alive is what I saw but by some act of fate now lies dead.. The creatures the pack..now fighting for survival. May the strongest in all ways win, type feeling. With the time it leaves me with a feeling of void..that forgiveness isn't an option here.. That fate has sealed the deal.. Dark and well of course I love it..xo
