She sounds regal..has that quality of inner confidence...born knowing what she wants and who she is. Taking lifes challenges and overcoming them with ease and grace...instinct to survive. The beauty she sees as she opens her eyes..got carried away there, apologies ;) This was wonderful to read. I enjoyed it very much. Now if I could all take a smidge of her courage, love, respect, strength and self awareness, then I would find destiny that much closer...I think ;)

beautiful poem. one of my favorite things about it is the shape of the body of a woman that the words make on the page. did you do that on purpose? if not, what a happy coincidence! if so, thank you for the aesthetic pleasure! this woman could be any age - a graduate on the cusp of adulthood, a woman emerging from a mid-life crisis - you have captured the essence of the anima - the eternal feminine - especially in the last stanza. she is a rose, a pearl endlessly renewed by love, respect and cherishing. wondrous words! thank you.

Wow, Amazing the line " Upon futures unknown paths" So beautiful. The second stanza was the best. It spoke so much truth I could read this poem all day long and never tire of reading it! Keep up the good work!:)
