The Sun's AnguishA Poem by WolfwindAn evolution of ink, a purging, in the hopes of remaining sane.
Time becoming shadows of ill decadence and ignorance Along highways best crossed, never driven and forgotten
Where rivers lush, flowing with honey, once danced above Suspended their motion, a cessation of the sweet nectar, life Strangling the mind, the heart beats slow, all actions ending Shadows upon the spirit, the rhymes filling with aching grief
The trees of life, so full with lush growth, bent against fate Broken now, laying down lifeless beside windswept sorrow Consumed, scorched by the heat of passions driven mistakes Blindingly, wind carrying dust and grit into a dark antiquity
Eyes cast a glance upon the shroud, an Eden hidden from time Querying upon the Sun, reasons that never find the light. Why? The dreams lost upon the lonely nights, the days into repetition Memories holding tight, in a world that spins without insight © 2012 WolfwindReviews
