For The Fallen. Our Strength Must Grow

For The Fallen. Our Strength Must Grow

A Poem by Wolfwind
"

Dedicated to those who've been taken to quick. And for those who've been left behind.

"

Every step, every moment upon this Earth

Precious

Every minute we are given

Every hour we have

Sacred

Every breath we take

Every moment we are alive

Is something special we must embrace

Everything happens for a reason

At times those reasons are painful

They test us more than anything we’ve ever experienced

The loss of a loved one

A friend taken too quickly from this world

God’s time, is not always ours.

We remember the fallen

We remember those who are now held by the Lord

We cherish their memories

We pray for their families

As we cherished their friendships, comeradeships and lives

Their stories will forever be legends

In the eyes of all

Our every step must have meaning

Our footprints a course that must stand all time

This life is ours while we have it

Our choices guide its course

Our dreams to make it shine

With the time we have, never known

How can we not give it everything we have inside

Making our path the one we wish

While that wish is ours to make

 Life is now

Live it

I think you have done a piece that should be read for/at anybodys last breath on this Earth. It's not so much that I can feel the pain in the poem, but that it's a harder job, if you will, to move forward after a deep loss. You showed that we must remember when we loose a precious soul, that our souls are still here and to not forget to live our lives as well. Our hearts (those left behind) they still need to beat on with the purpose given to us. We may mourn, but our lives are still moving forward, though they have left us behind them. Sometime we will see them again but our time was not then, and our time still drawing breaths are a treasure onto themselves. This was a very nice piece for whomever you were penning it for. I am in awe and applaud your depth of feeling and grace with words.. :)

That was an amazing poem. I loved the encouragement it displayed, but it is obvious that you're not ignorant to the pains of life like many people seem to be. Awesome job! This is outstanding :)

I really enjoyed this. Inspirational while still taking on a slightly enigmatic air. The rhythm and flow are quite smooth and do not stumble or falter, and it follows an almost tribal beat. Well done.
