The FireA Chapter by WolfwindFire, flame, heat, hotness Passion builds, building, climax… Burnout, embers and ashes So integrated into societies masses This warmth that raise’s and dashes Hopes, dreams, dying upon the floor of an aftermath. Oh but what a high, that sweet intoxication A drug, an addiction Crash to understand and realize It’s painful affliction. The more it’s fed, the hotter it burns The fuel ever eating away, a life’s essence depleting Nothing but an empty shell, head to wall beating.
Love we question Love we wonder Love? Love indeed starts with a spark Not from the fire, but instead from the heart. Connections, communication, honesty and trust Those are things that keep at bay, charcoal dust. A spark, a feeling, an immersion of the soul Offering embraces, a good road to roll.
Without… Only the fire burns… Scarring the spirit And all dreams with it.
Hence this lesson, in a way Of fates flames that may burn, devouring the day When it’s only the fire that burns in ones well The stories, unchecked Turn out to be hell. © 2012 WolfwindFeatured Review
