Momentous Feeling

Momentous Feeling

A Poem by Wolfwind

A great momentous feeling,

Gripping us through all time

At birth, the sensation begins.

Falling upon the Lord’s Earth

By the grace of God’s good will

We start our journey, embraced.

Before us, a great highway stretches

Holding out our life’s choices

Governed by our will and faith.

By Angels of great good and evil

We are touched, as is the Lords way

Our tests, our trials, crafting our day.

Our roads and our growth, like flowers

Every changing, adapting, reaching high

And sinking back into the ground, life.

The Lord has granted us this canvas

The colors are ours to decide as we paint

The brushing's are born of freewill.

We live, we thrive and we create as well

The outcome only seen by the eyes of God

As only He knows the paintings true scene.

Even through our most oppressive hours

We continue to work and weave the hues

For our goodness reflects God’s goodness.

With the Lord’s hand along our own hands

We persevere, have patience and continue

Forgiving those who would see the paint smear.

The Lord teaches that we must expect dangers

Pitfalls and vipers against which we shall surely contend

Knowing they too are his Angels, placed so we may learn.

Our hands, our motions, God’s grand design

Upon the Lord’s earth, every step and every day

To give up on ourselves?

The Lords wisdom, our voice..

No Way!

Makes me wonder what is in store for my next lifetime. Sometimes I think He is punishing me for things my soul did lifetimes ago. And to atone for that I have to go through pain and dismay till He has forgiven my soul. (and yes I mean that) Your poem got me to thinking of that again. I do from time to time, depending on the situation occuring. Lots of bumps, I think more than most. Very inspiring of hope and faith in this piece. I shall read it over again in those times I think I'm less than I am. Thank you :)
