I don’t know what I’d do

If anything happened to you

I could not imagine a day

Without sharing time with you along life’s way

Your light that guides

Your warmth that embraces

Your heart that beats

All mean more than I know how to say

 

I love you with no strings attached

My heart beats freely into your hands

Your mind

Your heart

And your soul

 

You gave me a world that made sense

In all your uniqueness, both good and bad

I found a true perfection

No matter the chaos of the day

Or the storms that would brew

Hand in hand, we’d be okay, in any direction

 

The distance now, may be great

But I believe in us, I think its fate

I shall always pray

That the Lord shall bring us back upon

The same loving plate

The feeling of loss comes out in the end. This poem brings the power a relationship can hold. Present, past and actually future beyond this life we live.
What a wonderful picture that comes to mind, any type of love we experience.
