Time, a Distant ShoreA Poem by WolfwindThe hardest, yet the smartest Is to admit you’ve made a mistake Wishing you could reverse and erase action done Voices spoken, able to vanish, a wish Only in torment, swirling thoughts create hate Frustration of choices made, ideas proving to be false A virus of spirit eats the soul for every meal, future born Sadness spills with the eyes endeavoring for light To grasp and to hold a moment, once more Sailing on, sail on, sails furled with no wind No prayer willing to replace the hand that would aid If only for second, having it back would be bliss Too late, later on, late upon an evenings song A world turning, ceaselessly The end is never the end Only a story left to be written
The faithful and the honest shall stay on Gaze upon the sea, for sails will appear The end is but a beginning Yet to be given life by the breath of God
Journey on, walk on, crawling the days For that is the wish, of a candle still lit Upon destiny’s white sill © 2012 WolfwindFeatured Review
