Sliver of Moon, HopeA Poem by WolfwindStress permeates the soul with every breath Day to night, sleep to day, day to night again A cycle of incompatibilities running ever on Why return to hell’s providence, a question
Nocturnal dreams coming quick, body tired Mind runs with chaos, inescapability foremost Trapped in a mouse ball, ever stuck spinning Why choose this path, when another shined?
Slavery at the whim, darkness controlling eye Forced working all hours of another’s torment Midnight’s soft pillows being the only respite Where once joyous bliss was unfurled, it dies
Thoughts run rampant in slivers of time Lessons once learned, pained in past heat Again the chain binds upon gentle flesh Never feeling the love once offered free?
Echoes still remain beyond the cages iron The will to patience courses, ignoring pain The want to reach out increasing in heart Safety, calm, security, is still redeemable
Choose of the wind and spirits that roam Unto thee, shall return, all strengthening Away from bleak sand storms, a choice Peace can be without turmoil’s hardness
Prithee, take unto a thought this motion A notion which sought to soar up before Rise above the ties that steal away souls The bright light upon the horizon, a truth © 2012 WolfwindFeatured Review
