Lost SoulA Poem by WolfwindThe paths fill with incongruity The world spins, like glass, blinding in the sun No understanding, no reasons to explain Confusion, a wave upon mass hysteria The ground shatters Shards fall Unto rebirth beckoning Truth revealing the flaws fine hook All lies, every action false with fakery A poisoned cake Within a bakery of hope slain
Yet as low as the feeling Low enough to lick the dirt Helpless is the heart not to care To break away from a gift Shared once upon a dust filled moon A movement of near impossibility
No restitution into apparent world view No recourse on justice’s swift sword Taking, destroying, dieing Shallow has been the modern accord
Silence is the finality Vestiges of some transparent delusion Making beds with rotten meat Failing to take out the trash Returning to hell Why must it crash?
Rational thoughts beget answers deemed righteous Darkness breeds only darkness Shadows shall devour all Must end this madness Or loose the eternal soul granted great © 2012 WolfwindReviews
