The Crazy Hare DareA Poem by WolfwindThe Tortoise gave the Hare a mightly scary dare
The Hare tumbled and fumbled his fielded goal Bumping into Ole’ Cole, who then began too roll
Help! Cried Pooh, who didn’t know what to do The King had taken his honey, oh my! What goo!
Jill and Alice had come from the palace, where Cinderella had given them tea When honey sprayed upon their dresses, they were in shock at what they did see!
Jill quickly woke up Jack, who had been sleeping upon the job When the Mad Hatter came rushing in, being chased by a mob!
A million mice and the Rats of Nimh followed, faces oh so mean and grim Only to stop before the Cheshire Cats toothy smile, grinning, rim to rim
The Tortoise feeling awfully bad for what was resulting from a Hairy dare He wondered off into the forest of clouds, sending back the Bears that Care
Now everything would have been fine, if the Bears hadn’t had to pay a toll For they had to cross over a long bridge and underneath it was an angry troll
But the Cheshire Cat was hungry and devoured all the mice and rats The Mad Hatter gave Pooh back his honey and shared his magic hats
Jack and Jill and Alice too, went up a hill after all this crazy commotion The Hare would always remember this scary dare that set things in motion © 2012 WolfwindReviews
