Snow RebornA Poem by WolfwindThey said that if a tree fell in the forest No one would ever hear it… We could It was the connection The way The earth, rocks, rivers and wind Life’s heart beat connecting.
Storms would come and go Fires would ravage our sacred space Others would come…not like us They would come with ill intent Still We remained strong Our bond An eternal connection From the beginning of time It has been our blessing Our hope The Dream
We saw the changes For our memories are long into the heavens We walked the forests and deserts And flew upon the winds as one You and I
Do you remember? The many lives and many years That we shared our spirit-woven bond upon the Earth Do you recall the last life? Your words and poise so beautiful Your heart strong, far stronger than my flesh Which those who wished our journey too cease So quickly taking me from you.
We needn’t tarry upon those sorrows Today and now Refreshed Reborn In the world that wishes with dreams Our feet walk in the same Earthtime We breathe again the same air We feel again our touch Our essence The woven spirit and our love Once again we can be near My precious My harmony My sweet Snow
