The Wild Roo Bunny Funny

The Wild Roo Bunny Funny

A Poem by Wolfwind

Ever hear about the Wild Roo Bunny?

Who would tell jokes of the Serengeti

Yet no Aussie thought him very funny

Save for the tortoise who’d gotten him drunk

Who insisted he could be quite chummy

Even though that Wild Roo Bunny

Who loved to live where it was hot and sunny

Was just a fictional hand puppet dummy

Haha, excellent poem! As an Australian I find this very nostalgic, particularity the "fictional hand puppet dummy" line. I also find the style, even your description of the relationship between the Wild Roo Bunny and the tortoise, very similar to Aboriginal Australian storytelling (I'm not entirely sure if I am allow to say that, as I'm not Indigenous), but this is a really great piece of writing! When you mentioned the 'hot and sunny' I actually starting laughing to myself, as the poor Wild Roo Bunny would not like Australia very much this winter (I know it's not obscenely cold, but I don't often venture outside if it is below 15 degrees Celsius)!

Well this was a fun read. I got a little more from it too - it maybe that's just me reading into it.
Have a great day, Aaron!
