A Tapestry of Added Colors

A Tapestry of Added Colors

A Poem by Wolfwind

Distance is no more than a trick of the emotions

The heart knows better and continues to produce the glue

Rain nor shine, stick we do

A clock’s hands are a figment of wild imaginations

The spirit’s resonance shows time never really matters

Never any rush in the perfection of a dream

The sunsets and the sunrises are the canvas of our revelations

The colors of two souls unceasing in their creative bond

The bridge always knew best

We just had to remember

So too, outward

From the hot desert sands into the cool evergreen lands

They become our paintings, our places to explore

Always adding

Our own myriad of colors and expressive hues

Along the dance we began

 Together now and still

 It continues

The surface is calm

The future stones not yet cast

There’s a castle deep within

May it be built beautiful and strong

Together as one

I am in love with your vivid descriptions! It gets to a point where you're not even evoking images, just a beautiful blur of colours. I find myself sighing and the fluidity of your language, it's just wonderful!

Also, the image is gorgeous :)

Your poem at first, brought me into the whirl of ambiguity, but the stimulation of the weaved words alone stirred my senses. On the second reading, the first stanza caught me the most and made my mind travel into the thinking that even solid relationship needs distance; closeness can tug two lovers apart but if they will keep a certain distance in one way or another they can always meet each other through some kind of burning.

Thank you Aa, for bringing some magic to me through this poem.
