A Serenade of Love

A Serenade of Love

Lovepoem1

Twas the serenade upon the river

Soft, as the moon kisses the cities red roof tops

Twas the gentle rippled waves that did run

Flutterby, as the night time lights flickered a’glow

Twas the hands that held and the eyes that gazed

Upon that slow and serene magical night

Within a city that blooms the flowers of love

With every expanse of a passing eve

Twas a day

Twas a memory

Set forever….

Within rings of silver

The scent of a perfect rose

"Twas the hands that held and the eyes that gazed
Upon that slow and serene magical night"

Those are the most romantic lines of the poem, how sweetly that couple must have been toward each other on that night. It sounds like the perfect date with the perfect night. I also like the flow of the poem and how it doesn't hinge on any one word or phrase, it simply and beautifully describes a date with two people who are very much in love and how the atmosphere feels around them.

"Within rings of silver
And the scent of a perfect rose"

Those are my favorite lines of this piece. You know just how much I feel that connection to the moon's glow in the night sky. The picture inspires you very well. Just the setting and mood of the image screams Love and all that can be, if you just reach out and embrace the essense of that special moment. :)

You are welcome...:)
The scent of art is captured in a shadow of elegance cast by a turquoise moon, emotive and romantic escape, I enjoyed reading this and losing myself in the magic if only for a moment, beautifully ascribed!
