The Caged ReflectionsA Poem by WolfwindCaged within reflected glass A prison of genetic misconstruction Heavy burdens upon the mind Inner soul screaming Reality a mocking thief Stealing hope, offering grief Is this the only path or way? Is this the penance for some past sin? Has the concrete set? This I can not believe… One step forward, another into a wall Chaos teaming, pushing for a fall How does one change the tree? When the seed was misaligned An indefinable abstract into existence Plunged deep beyond alterations easy gifts Yet, steadfast must be Taken into the heart of change robust The goal, that yearning Always a glimmer from beyond the mirror’s sorrow Fact upon the seed that was planted A fixture undeniably morose Must not kill the spirits will to survive The will to change The force to become unto truth © 2013 WolfwindFeatured Review
