Branches? or Brunches?

Branches? or Brunches?

A Poem by Wolfwind
"

Randomly came out after eating a roast.

"

Sweet branches of yesterday’s jingling

Forever embroiled in the mincemeat of heavens carnage

Standing still in a wind yet swept by fate

Yearning for more than chocolate melted in a moons ray

Sumptuous twigs best eaten within the ides

Flowery at best were their connotations

Along the jagged roads of a peach’s highest reach

Living only the moments sanctified by a roasted host

Suppers tone was soon to be undone by silence

A yak’s scream had no way of compensating jealousy

A reason indeed why cream was hotter than June

In a house of Ginger’s grand design

Don't you just love it when the wild ones just come tumbling out, and how the diner table sometimes becomes silent when the food is good, everyone intent on their own plate. Loved the last two lines best though, makes me think of Gingerbread cookies. :)
