Without the Letter "G"

As I am on strike this week against the letter "G". All my poetry created this week shall go without that letter.

There is no possible way

That that letter shall be part of my day

Freedom shall prevail

As I look into my empty letter pail

Do not cry or fret

Even as there is much woe

That that letter

Does not show

In this ink

Or this flow

Every other letter still is here

In the family of word and style

Only that letter

Has been removed

For a week and a little while

 

So while you wait its expected return

Just take a moment

And let yourself smile.
