Love Rising

A new moment beneath the stars

A pulsating bright warm light

A kiss of embrace taking true hold

Awakening, as two is far greater

Than a road of one

A contrail in the sky

A past drifting away at twilight

The present rises swiftly

Into the rays of a rising sun

 

A new dance spins upon rainbows

Hands hold, interlocking the spirits spark

A glimmering, a touch, drinking of joy

The ground a distant notion

Upon new heights, the wings of devotion will climb

Bathing in the love of eyes sharing eyes

 

Ever twirling in the sparkling of life

Into the infinite horizon, a duality ascends

Moments of passion marry the sublime

The heavens becoming the canvas

Of the glory of a futures tapestry

The colors never fading

While the world slumbers below

As new life is woven above

Your poetry speaks to me on a celestial (or should I say cosmic) level that lends it this grandiose, enigmatic feeling (very appropriate to the subject of love, I might add), especially in a poem like this that shows the beauty of a connection forming between two people. I love it so much. Eloquent and elegant. This is a very captivating, dazzling work. :) It really captures the ecstatic essence of falling in love with someone and being joined with your other half, a love that carries you away from the mundane earth.

This is wonderful.
Sometimes I get a little board hearing poems that are really realistically detailed about passionate times, but your poem literally made me picture a love that resembled the image above that you used for this poem. It was magical, beautiful, sensitive and warm.

All I can think of is the layering of love's gifts and wonders. It's the only feeling that rushes through my mind (or my mind gives a name to ;) when I read this 3 times. Yes once because ... well once to read it...twice because I liked it...third because the feeling grew in intensity as I read your words for the third time.
