As The Day Meets The Night

As The Day Meets The Night

A Poem by Wolfwind
"

A poem inspired by the image I created.

"

Upon the open mind

Within the eyes surreal

The imagination soars outward

Into the heavens, unleashing the colors of thought

A canvas painted by the hands of gods and men

Of youth and adulthood

All is one in infinity’s miraculous glow

An endless caress of the divine palette

The secrets of the land call to our curiosities

The mysteries of the heavens harkening to our soul

Onward plays this song

Given birth when the journey first began

Where shall we wander?

Where shall we stand and what shall we have seen?

When the curtain calls our last breath

A solid weave within a rainbow tapestry for sure

Of thoughts and dreams spun like spiders silk

This explosion of delicate beauty and a soul’s love

Cascade upon the bridges and stones of our efforts

Never a day or a minute alike in the streams flow

Born to be unique and paint our wishes

Our footprints leaving their mark in the wash of a millennium

We open ourselves to the miracle of life, understanding

As the light of day meets the glory of the night

Sick image... :D And awesome title!!! :D This poem... is... AMAZING!!! It's so beautiful... And it is absolutely overflowing with symbolism. Like a pot of boiling rainbows... :D :D :D The last line... GENIUS. It's like life and death and aging and beauty and love and RAINBOWS AND PONIES all wrapped into one GIANT METAPHORICAL BURRITO!

I'm not sure how I feel about this piece. It feels like what frightens us can also bind us in hope. That you are trying to explain something that isn't in anybodys dictionary or encycopedia or any other book. It sounds like a life's lesson to be heard and sat down in awe that one can actually comprhend. Though I'm fuzzy on just what that is...(sometimes my head isn't attuned to yours as I wish it to be..) Sorry about that...but fuzzy or not..I became lost in the words and was sad to see the ending come...I didn't expect it actually :)

I imagined your voice reading this to me.. and now I don't have to call you lol ;) I love this for how it takes me into the depths of the universe yet still grounds me to earth.. I think knowing me and beliefs the way you do...and your interest in what I practice this resonates with Lily's heart and soul..xo Most excellent ink Squire of bold thoughts..xo
