The Living Dreams

The Living Dreams

A Chapter by Wolfwind

Sugars of sweet desires

Fingers of a tempting bliss

A night of fire flies

Floating in the air

I dream of that other world

Beyond the white picket fence

Of bells and fairies

Where upon a gentle wind

There’s always music that carries

Each night I let out a sigh

For the book’s pages I must close

For eyes can only see so long

Before blankets consume the soul

Yet, I shiver..

Was that a troll under the bed?

Could that be a sprite that rattles the glass?

Or perhaps..

Just a mouse and the spring winds.

My heart flutters

Sleep drags me with it’s chains

Into dreams I can’t control

The pathways or the pains

The dragons breath, their heated flames

A black witch chases me into duress

Oh where is my savor?

To save me with a soft caress.
