Standing in the Gray

Standing in the Gray

Hear I am standing.

Waiting for you to come home.

I know that you never will but I can not help but wait for you.

A day will pass, then two, and then a week, a year.

Still I stand hear waiting, A sentinel in the dark.

I will keep a candle burning for your safe passage.

In that haze of that candle,

When i can't wait no more and I think the tears have dried away there is a reminder.

Thus I stand in the gray,  Bleak and unyielding,

With my tiny candle holding it against the dark.

Be harsh I'm never going to get better without that constructive criticism. But don't forget the praise too. LOL
