Night Animals

Night Animals

A Chapter by Tristyn
"

A poem written for a Year 7 school project in 2003.

"

Night falls,

Everything is still,

Then the nocturnal animals creep out,

And look around,

When they are sure that the coast is clear,

They come out to dance,

Only stopping to rest their feet.

The sun starts to come up,

And the animals scuttle home to sleep,

Resting for the next night to dance again.

An attractive free verse poem. It inspired me to write this tiny gift song-poem for you to keep as your own:

Nocturnal Animals

Animals dance their ballet
at the closing of the day
then they rest their little feet
when the stars again retreat.

You're welcome! I would never have written it, but for reading your poem first.
