Fear

 

 I love you with all my heart,

To the very depths of my soul.

I trusted you like no other before,

You took that trust and dashed it upon the stones.

I can’t believe the pain that you have caused,

I didn’t know anything could hurt this grievously.

I still and will always love you it’s unending,

But truth be told I don’t like you very much right now.

I’ll need time to heal and to forgive,

Can you wait? Will you be true now?

I’m afraid that you can’t or won’t be able to,

I hope you can and will as you’ve said you will.

I loved you once and love you still,

I trusted you once, but can I again?
