Marfity MewA Poem by Wolf's InkA farewell type poem dedicated to my late dear friend Tay Breedlove
There was never a hello or goodbye for us
Just a marf and a mew A wuff was all there was for a goodnight Special words between friends I always thought how funny it was the way we met And how it turned out to something so wonderful We were there whenever there was a bad day We always had the other's shoulder and ear You found a turtle and I was so happy I'm still happy a kitten like you found love The sweet taste of such connection is a thing to savor A bond like that can never be forgotten From those of us you left behind, we forgive you I know you'd stay with us longer if you could There's so much I wish we could discuss Though I'm thankfully for all the laughter we had together From those of us you left behind, we miss you We will still look forward to your music playing To seeing you up late for a fun talk and laughs To spending time with such a wonderful woman From those of us you left behind, we love you You are such that can never be replaced Nor will we ever even try, for we will horribly fail There will always be a place for you in our hearts Into His hands we place you, for you deserve your rest To be able to for once be able to run and dance with glee I don't know when, but we shall see you again someday soon Until then, a marf, a mew, and for now, our last wuff. © 2011 Wolf's Ink |
