~Chapter 4: Heart Breaking Truth~A Chapter by Harmony BabinI woke up to a loud noise. I jump out my sleep and look around and then sees my window opened. Cold wind slapped me in the face and I ran to the window and shut it closed. I shivered then turned around, screamed, and shielded myself. "It's just me, love." The voice said. I peeked to look at him then sighed in relief. "You know, you can use the door." I said to the guy that had visited me last night. "Sorry, I'll remember next time." He said smiling. "Hey, what happened last night?" I asked. "Sorry, I just had to leave and all-" She cut him off. 'Wait! Is this another dream? Mr. Clementine said last night was a dream." I confronted him. "What? No, your not dreaming and last night was not a dream. You can't believe Mr. Clementine. He is a bad guy." "What you mean a bad guy? He's been helping me with my dreams. Speaking of dreams, I've seen you in them!" I exclaimed, kinda embarrassed after I said it. I felt the warmth of redness rising in my cheeks. "Yes, I know you have. That's where I've been visiting you." "How? What are you?" I asked very confused and shocked. "Look, I think I should tell you what is all going on. Starting with your dirt bag boyfriend." he said in an angry husky voice. "My boyfriend is not a dirt bag!" I protested. Though, deep down inside I knew it was half true. "Come with me." He grabed my arm and pulled me out the apartment. I tried to pull away at first, but then just let him drag me. I had a good, yet, bad feeling about all this. "I'm going to show you just how much he loves you, Sarafina." he said putting me in the passenger side of his black BMW. He hopped in the driver's side and drove off. "Where are we going?" I asked nervously. "Meet your boyfriend at his 'work'" he explained. I stayed silent for a while then broke the silence. "What is your name? Please, I want to know." I begged looking at him driving. "My name is Daniel." He revealed. "Nice to meet you, Daniel." I said quietly. "Why did last night happen?" "It's hard to explain. I ran off because I wanted to respect you because you have a boyfriend already. That's what I meant when I told you I couldn't." He explained. "Oh. That makes sense, but earlier you called him a dirt bag, so..?" I was lost for words. I didn't really know how to finish that question. "I did it for you, not him. Trust me on that. I wish I could rip him to pieces." he said. His grip tightened around the stiring wheel. "Jealous much?" I muttered. "Jealous? That's what you think this is?" He glanced at me dumbfounded and probably angry. "Well, your just dogging him! So, you must be jealous." "Oh, yeah. Let me tell you. I am just so jealous even though he is neglecting you!" He yelled. "He is not neglecting me! He just has to work a lot." "Oh, so you buy his little 'I-have-to-work-late-again-sorry-honey-story'?" I puffed in frustration. He suddenly stopped at a dinning resturaunt and jumped out the car. He came around and opened my door and I stepped out. "So, now your taking me to dinner?" I asked sarcasticly. "No, sorry princess, that's not why we're here." He said sarcasticly sweetly. He took me by the hand and made me look through a wide open window. He pointed in the window at a couple. "You see them two?" I look hard and he continues to talk, "Recognize someone?" I looked a little harder and then realized what I am seeing: Michael having dinner with some girl. He was holding her hand and sat very close. Then, he leaned in and kissed her. My eyes watered and I went to run away but Daniel caught me by my arm and pulled me into his arms. He held me tight and I cried into his chest. "Common, I can't let this fagget get away with this." He pulled me away and wiped my tears away then held my hand and walked in the resturaunt. "Oh, n-no, we don't have t-" "A table for two, please?" He asked the waiter and he nodded and guided us to our seats. I followed close beside Daniel and he pulled my chair out for me. I smiled and sat down as he scooted the chair in. He sat across from me and smiled. "What drinks might we be having tonight?" The water asked. "We will have a bottle of blackberry wine." Daniel answered. The waiter nodded and walked away. "I thought we weren't stopping and eating?" I said and couldn't help but look over at Michael and his new date. "I changed my mind. Now, here's what I want you to do, alright? I won't let him hurt you like this." I nodded. I wasn't exactly all there anymore. I don't care what happens from here on. Daniel scooted his chair close to me and started to whisper in my ear. I nodded and stood up from the table and started walking towards Michael. Daniel sat back and watched. I made it to Michael and took a deep breath. "How may I help you two tonight?" I said to them. Michael smiled then looked at me and his face dropped. "W-what are you doing here?" He stammered. "I can ask you the same. Such a coincidence, right? I saw you and your 'friend' here and decided maybe I should invite mine, too." I gestured to Daniel at the table and Daniel waved at Michael with a big smile when Michael looked at him. He looked back at me dumbfounded. "What's the matter, hun? Thought I didn't know?" I said smiling at him. The woman beside him looked at us bored. "Excuse me, but apparently he doesn't love you. He loves me. Apparently, you weren't good enough for him." The woman laughed at me. I felt all my insides suddenly tighten and my heart sink in anger. "Well, you know what, I'm glad he doesn't love me. I'm happy he loves you. Want to know why?" I said still smiling. She frowned and said, "Why? 'Cause you know you won't ever have another chance?" She laughed again. I felt my heart start to pound and pressure in my head build up. Everytime she laughs it makes me more and more mad. "Because he only loves the skanks he finds on the streets working corners." I really don't know if she is a skank, but she looked like one. Who walks in a resturaunt in a short skirt, fishnet stockings, high heels, and a shirt that only covers her breats? "He knows skanks are easy to get, so. Something else, honey, you aren't the only one he's screwing, I'm sure. See, I'm not a skank, like you." I smiled bigger and made a shocked face. The I looked back at Michael, "You, my friend, have made the biggest mistake of your life, and your going to regret it one day. That one day will be whenever one of these skanks either jack all your money, use you, break your heart, or worse give you a disease." I shrugged smiling then walked away. I suddenly felt a little happines spark in me. That felt really good I thought to myself. I sat back in my chair and looked at Daniel. He smiles and claps. "Bravo. That was beautiful." He encouraged me. I smiled and surprisingly started to laugh. "That felt real good." I said. "I know it did. That's why I made you do what you did." Daniel smiled and handed me a glass of wine. I took it and sipped it. "Now, watch this." He said pointing at Michael. I looked over and saw Michael standing up and put his hands up as if he surrendered and walked out the resturaunt, but looked at us before he left. The woman screamed and threw their bottle of wine on the ground and two guards came and drug her out the resturaunt. The whole time me and Daniel laughed. Tonight is a wonderful night, I decided. We had ate dinner and had a great time, and then left. © 2012 Harmony Babin |
