*~Moving On~*

I recently went through a break up and finally moved on.

She sits there, headphones in her ears...
Just trying to drown out the sound, 

of the critics' voices all around.

The drama and confusion, only from her own intrusions.
Pushing past the unnecessary distractions, 

her mind for too long has been clouded by senseless disruption.

She detects a new light, it's shining bright...
Thinking that she just might, 

chase that light and take flight.

Developing a case of the feels,

 such a broken person never heals...
Alas, the tough layers of her heart once again peel.

This new light shows her the way, 

this new light beckons her to stay.
She doesn't want him to pay, 

and she doesn't want to have to run away.

I know it's short, and I know it isn't the greatest.
