Self Reliant

Self Reliant

A Poem by Charlie McEwan

I pulled my knees to my chest
tucked them in
and took a shuddering breathe.
Grasping tight
Holding close
The only barrier
Between us and those
Tears falling at a rapid rate
The line so thin between love and hate

This is well written. Short and sweet. It really is a wild ride.
