Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome

Like a tick without a tock,
Or a key without a lock.
Like a shepherd without a flock,
Or the roll without the rock.
Like lightning without shock,
Or a soup without the stock.
Like an arrow without a nock,
Or a ship without a dock.
Like a piano-less Bach,
Don't you just hate writer's block?

I hate writer's block, but sometimes all it takes is something simple and frivolous to dispel the frustration.

I really like this poem, I have had so many cases where Writer's Block just caught up with me. Great rhyming and comparisons in this piece. I think people can relate to this very well :)
