Shielded Heart

Shielded Heart

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome

A shocking truth revealed,

You are my heart's shield.

What power does Love wield,

Drawing you to me?

You are my heart's shield.

As my faith congealed,

You claimed me body and soul,

You are my heart's shield.

To you my passions yield,

Your presence lifts me up,

You are my heart's shield.

Deep wounds finally healed,

By your soft embrace,

You are my heart's shield.

Together our fates sealed,

You are my heart's shield.
