Your Pain is Great

Another of my slightly religious toned pieces.

The hour is growing late,
Your pain is very great.

You really cannot wait,
To lie down and rest,
Your pain is very great.

In such a dire strait,
Badly needing help,
Your pain is very great.

You stand before Hell’s gate,
There must be some mistake,
Your pain is very great.

Once, your spiritual slate,
Was free of every sin,
Your pain is very great.

It simply is your fate,
To bear this pain so great.
