The Thought Comes To You

The Thought Comes To You

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome
"

This one was inspired by a nesting pair of bald eagles in my local State Park.

"

Eagles now are few,
The thought comes to you.

The wind often blew,
Lifting them on high,
The thought comes to you.

Years before they flew,
Soaring in such majesty,
The thought comes to you.

As such things always do,
Their numbers began to grow,
The thought comes to you.

Before the morning dew,
Skyward they are bound,
The thought comes to you.

Their day has dawned anew,
The thought comes to you.
