My Foolish Pride

My Foolish Pride

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome

Looking deep inside,
I see my foolish pride.

I have always tried,
To keep it under wraps,
My foolish pride.

I really couldn’t hide,
The fury kept within,
My foolish pride.

A streak ten miles wide,
Unleashed by simple things,
My foolish pride.

What a wild ride,
Carried on it’s wings,
My foolish pride.

When I’ve gone and died,
Forgive my foolish pride.

When I've gone and died,
Forgive my foolish pride.

Such truthful words of wisdom
We can always ask for forgiveness
But do we honor that forgiveness
Being of a sinner we have to go and sin again
So i guess after we die we will no longer sin
I like this. Well written and said

There really isn't much to tell about me. I write poetry because I like to play with words. I am writing a series of fantasy novels because I got tired of the predictability of that genre. I tend to u.. more..
