The Dragon's Flame

The Dragon's Flame

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome
"

Another of my Dragon based series of poems.

"

Accounts all start the same,
Behold the dragon‘s flame.

Only legends claim,
Knowledge of the beast,
Behold the dragon‘s flame.

From darkest night it came,
To that nameless town,
Behold the dragon‘s flame.

Using claws to maim,
Any who dare resist,
Behold the dragon‘s flame.

The beast was not to blame,
Consumed by instinct‘s fury,
Behold the dragon‘s flame.

The beast is still not tame,
Remember the dragon‘s flame.
