The Dragon's Bane

The Dragon's Bane

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome
"

Another of my Dragon series of poems, this one is my personal favorite.

"

You travel the ethereal plane,
Searching for the dragon’s bane.

He was to the thane,
An answer to all prayers,
The dragon’s bane.

On his sword a stain,
The blood of noble beasts,
The dragon’s bane.

With everything to gain,
He attacked without warning,
The dragon’s bane.

Withstanding terrible pain,
The massive beast fought back,
The dragon’s bane.

Though the beast was slain,
So to was the dragon’s bane.
