The Winters Snow

The Winters Snow

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome
"

This poem was meant to demonstrate that no matter how harsh the winter, there is always hope for a glorious spring.

"

An icy wind does blow,
Across the winter’s snow.

The mountain stream can’t flow,
Choked by slush and ice,
Through the winter’s snow.

On foot you travel slow,
Carving channels deep,
Through the winter’s snow.

Frostbite on your toes,
You cannot carry on,
Through the winter’s snow.

The fire’s light does glow,
Providing you some warmth,
Through the winter’s snow.

Spring plants begin to grow,
Through the winter’s snow.

I have always lived in California, so no snow, I have been to the mountains and felt the cold snow but have never watched it fall..I still can imagine it as I read your poem , very well done.
