Time Will Slip Away

Time Will Slip Away

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome

In the light of day,
Time will slip away.

While little children play,
Without a single woe,
Time will slip away.

While the ocean’s spray,
Grinds the sand from stone,
Time will slip away.

While the grasses sway,
Caressed by gentle winds,
Time will slip away.

It is Nature’s way,
Nothing can resist,
Time will slip away.

In the twilight grey,
Time will slip away.

This was a very beautiful piece. The flow and the rhyme are so serene. Excellent job.
