This Is College Life Rough Draft

This Is College Life Rough Draft

A Poem by Wolfe-Letour
"

This is about the college student who goes through stressful days and late nights

"
I wake up to see the sun, yet only weary enough to see it once.
I clamber out of bed to my dismay, but truly the day has begun.
Like a turtle or hare on my best and worse days I struggle to stay even
the faintest sliver awake.
For my classes are long and tedious, I exercise my brain away,
yet professors rattle away as a chain unhinged from its bolt.
Excluding the stress of all my books I fear not to err hold back,
for I know the classes like a map, yet I only tend to ever commend the professor
for the lack, of work they indeed to do.
Only to earn a way for me to rue an all day time.

For this is College Life.

I like this, but I think cutting the "for" out of the poem would help it flow better.
I also think in the first stanza, it would sound better to say, "yet too weary to see it more than once," or something along those lines. It just seems to make more sense.
And I think you had a typo with worse. Maybe you meant to put worst?
Either way, this is really good. Especially for a rough draft. College life is rough and tiring.
