To Chase a ShadowA Poem by Wolfie(2009)Disrobe my thoughts, let fall the veil, my shield. You touch my head, hands in prayer To take away my pain, a loving gesture. You mean nothing by it. By it you mean everything.
I sit feeling like only a child; wanting, Watching as you hold her hand and chuckle softly like an idiot And she seems to me like a goddess with her smile which so imprisons you. I am not saddened by her existence, rather by my inexistence. You subdued, she pursued, and I refuse To chase a shadow. © 2011 Wolfie
