All These Scars

All These Scars

A Poem by Starr
"

It is our life, but we fight to stay sane...

"
Another day I am sitting here alone
Another night I am digging deeper
No one understands the darkness
I have all these scars
They are bleeding through my white blouse
They are staining my ripped jeans
It's a war I can't seem to win
So many scars
This is my hell
My living hell
I just want to stop
Never walk again
Break down
I guess I was born to fail
I always seem to break the rules
While all my scars are breaking open
They are bleeding more
Hiding secrets
Secrets of a war
My war
Our war
Scars that follow a path
Telling stories
I'm a walking nightmare
All alone in the dark

I give all my inspiration to Joel Faviere & his song The War Against Ourselves <3

I tried to leave the words simple in this one...

Thanks again! Love your reviews as well! I enjoy reading them!
The word choice is amazing! These were definitely my favorite lines:
"Hiding secrets
Secrets of a war
My war
Our war"
I always love your longer poems, they tend to store so much emotion and you express it very well!

Just from a literal sense, this poem contains like three awesome different stories in between the lines.

I'll admit that I found it a bit weird how you specifically described the clothing, but other than that this was awesome.

Well done!
