I Started & Can't Stop

I Started & Can't Stop

A Poem by Starr
"

I just don't know...

"
I started reeling off the lies
Then the real lies started digging deep
 I wanted to stop
 I need to stop
But it is never that easy
Please save me from myself
 I'm caving in
Don't judge me, I am sorry
I regret nothing
 Regret is a weakness
I stand strong on the outside
but on the inside
it's all falling down
I am trying
I am trying
 I am trying so hard...
I love everyone
Everything
But I can't fit in
 I won't fit in
I won't fall down
At least I am trying...

I love how your words contradict each other in some places! It shows the internal struggle many people have. I also love the last two ones. They really bring the poem to a great end. AND THE REPETITION! I love repetition, especially in this poem. It really emphasizes the topic!

The poem told a true story.
" Regret is a weakness
I stand strong on the outside
but on the inside
it's all falling down"
The above lines stood out to me and we must find ways to forgive ourselves and move on. Try not to repeat the mistakes. Thank you Starr for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thanks so mcuh! I love all my reviews and reader!
The constant struggle with ourselves and at the same time the struggle we have with our obsession in how others view us. I believe it is a really relatable piece, in which at least in one point in our lives that everyone goes through. Just need to learn to love yourself and do what is best for you, not what is best for others. Looking forward to the next piece.

Thank you so much for this! It is all too true
A glimpse into your struggle, human, paradoxical, intense, that battle between voices inside that say things like "on the inside it's all falling down" and "I won't fall down". I can relate . . . It rings true and honest, with a flavor of forgiveness in the last line. The sheer aloneness of what we hide from the world, and how life-saving it can be to tell someone what it feels like to try so hard, and not feel resolution. Yeah, I feel it.
