Scars

Scars

A Poem by Starr
"

I see those scars every night I look at her and she knows "Why did you ruin your beautiful body?" She sighs and shakes her head "The world isn't my home."

"
She lays against my chest
I know she's hurting
I know she is broken inside
I know she feels alone tonight
I just want to feel her heart beat
She is never alone with me
She holds my hand and cries
I see those scars every night
I look at her and she knows
"Why did you ruin your beautiful body?"
She sighs and shakes her head
"The world isn't my home."
I run my hands through her hair
"But it will be with me."
She cracked a smile
Small enough to light the room
She even managed a laugh
Why can't she stop?
Her body trembles
Knowing it's wrong
But she can't stop
'Cause the world thrashes her around
Treats her like nothing
Pulls on every string
Knowing she isn't strong
That she is not wrong
But she is alone
Or so she thinks that's shown
She doesn't know
I love her more than anything
Nothing will stop me
She is my soul
I look at her arm
"Why ruin yourself?"
"The world isn't my home."
I hold her tight
"But we will fight."

Oh this is so sad especially if it has to do with the real person. I hope that she will be better soon and recover from whatever trouble she is going through. Sending lots of prayers and hugs!
