Meeting My End

Meeting My End

A Poem by Wolf Towne

I enter a dim, hazy room.
Greeted by a warm smile, I am moonstruck.
A fault I carry with me to this day.

I would act out of character,

I would do anything.
I would make great sacrifices.

I am intoxicated by the danger surrounding her.

Her presence seeps into my pores.
And she lures me forth.

But foremost, protection.

And I would come to save her.
My very dreams materialize.

Yearning turned to elation.
My actions were taunting the universe.
But ecstasy blinded me.

Our love was poisoned.

Karma catches up to me.
And I am punished.
