I died in my heart,

A slow and precious death.

I died in my heart

None the less.

 

I hurt those around me,

Pushed them away.

I hurt those around me

Killed them too I guess.

 

I gave away my dreams,

To the beast in my head.

I gave away my dreams

And wonder why I am not blessed.
