Darkness in light

Finding a reason to live

I am a lost and lonely child- I belong no where
I have faced the darkness full of overwhelming pain and despair.
My broken soul in nothing but pieces,
I search the earth, not sure where I fit.
I look forward see glistening moments,
I reach out-thinking it’s okay
but they never seem to last
and quickly fade away

I look to the heavens and scream into the night.
Why am I forced to trudge along through this lonely life?
As the tears stream down my face, I cannot believe
Darkness fades into golden wings surrounding me.
Changed from that moment upon a single breath,
with a beautiful message I won’t soon forget;
everything unfolded sweetly in silent whispers.
“For you god has a plan
Do not loose faith the truth is a round the bend.
Before you move forward you may need to look back.”
A moment of  faultless clarity
as I gaze upon my past.

I turn around to find my broken self laid through out this path,
The subtle changes made in impression that I have left.



I see the pieces left behind in moments embedded,
in lives I passed through where I was most needed;
every piece seems to fall into place.
The pain I carried for so long seems to dissipate
Out of the darkness-- unwavering light.
I understand the reason, there is purpose to my life.

The beautiful soldier, bestowed by his grace,
Waving me onward as she flies away.
An uplifting transformation as I round the bend.
Beholding my own wings I am able to spread.
I stare in to the heavens, breathless,
I realize I serve a greater good.
I am truly blessed!!!!
