BeliefA Poem by Woja
Within the hollow of frightful screams,
dwell tortured souls and unlived dreams, young victims of insidious deeds. With in the deep purple of anouther bruise emerges a pattern that speaks the truth~ entangled in lies; another excuse. Impressions left upon a child drunken rage has left behind, shattered innocence; broken mind. Curled up in a corner by the door with a trail of red upon the floor a child's limp body pleads "No More!" Bare a heavy heart once deceived, a soul stained by memories, of a childhood no one could beleive. I cried out for days and days lost within life’s unemcompassed maze still suffered torture with out restrain. Never lived, just survived~ searched within harsh hands of time for faith and hope long left behind. Trudge alone throughstorms of life full of anger, hurt and strife; within the darkness I seek the light. Next to a bed of broken dreams Is where I fell upon these knees pray to a man not known or seen. Is it upon deaf ears when I speak? Can God give me comfort when life's so bleak or ease the pain of a soul that bleeds? © 2012 WojaReviews
