No OneA Poem by Tiny DropHow stubborn is the mind When it is onto something When doubt creeps in And leaves no stone unturned? How capricious is the heart That desires someone Obsessed and insane, Doomed to have no one? How naive is the soul Who found its pair Who forgave everything Just to ignore the despair? How cruel is the mouth Who sputters hateful insults It doesn't know what to say And only means to hurt? How blind are the eyes Who saw despicable things Carving in the mind Dreams filled with 'what-ifs'? How lost am I? I, who have, A stubborn mind, A capricious heart, A naive soul, A cruel mouth, And blind eyes? Am I fundamentally broken? Or is there still hope for me? Am I meant to always be no one? Or am I allowed to aspire to be someone?
