Silence

Hush child and keep the music hidden within you

The silence bewitches the unaware like a siren, like one of those beautiful creatures who haunt the sailors at sea. Sometimes it's as if the silence becomes a fairy, one with seductive hazy eyes which carry a strange power within its soul. Should it be crossed, the land would be stricken by death. Should it be admired, it would bring the earth miracles and blessings in the form of dread. If sound resounded within one's heart the silence would plague the body and envelop it in darkness.

Sleep soundly, child

Only weep in your mind

For no amount of wisdom

Will conquer silence's plight

Then a thundering echoes throughout the night. Its waves resounding in everyone's mind. The silence stirs and death awakens. Their power outstanding, their might unquestionable. The sea of death at their feet impossible to ignore. Too many have fallen victim to the temptation of music.

Be fearless, be smart, child.

Don't let silence catch you.

Stay in the sun, stay bright, stay quiet

And once night falls, hush child...

Before silence catches you too.
