A long journey after love

A long journey after love

A Poem by Jonathan Torres

Withering roads ahead...

Dark suit of armor comes closer
Living a lie I was
Living a life that was never nicer
Forever shown in the publics eye
To bask in my own apperance

Yet they still shunned me and neglected me

Me...the real me

The tortured soul

Four faced head upon the stick of humiliation

People never knowing when I will turn

Turn?

Or rather scream

Scream out lava
And my hair turns into gold
Gold that only melts in their hands

For they do not know how to touch it

Shaken by torment

Loved by the stars

Forseen by the mystics

In the crystal ball of two thousand years
Infancy...

Childhood...

And now adult

As i grow the boulder gets bigger

As i stay here my head transforms

Itself into a prune

Knowing all i hear is negativity
I live my life

I love my life

And i still stand, breathing and all

With your words I throw it right back at you

So they will never hurt me.

Deep, I like the way you described your ideas and thoughts within this poem. The word choices were brillant. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. Great job.
